Call for Submissions to the ChemistryViews Video Competition:

Chemistry in Everyday Life

     2011 is the International Year of Chemistry (IYC 2011), a worldwide celebration of the achievements of chemistry and its contributions to the well-being of humankind. In recognition of this, ChemistryViews is hosting a video contest. 
      
You are invited to submit a 3 min video sharing what is, in your opinion, Chemistry in Everyday Life. Emphasis should be on improvements in health and environment; entries on other topics will still be considered. Entries could be serious documentaries or experiments, fictional pieces, humorous compositions, animation or any combination thereof. 
The contest runs from January 17, 2011 through September 30, 2011.

Entry also enables you to win a FlipCamera and/or book vouchers. Winners will be chosen from the 18 videos with the most votes by a panel of judges who are experts in the field. They will select three winners.
Winning videos will be announced on December 1, 2011 and will be featured on ChemistryViews.org. 

Send your video including the entrant’s name, e-mail address, institution/affiliation if applicable, and title and short description of the video to ChemistryViews@Wiley-VCH.de and use "ChemistryViews Video Contest: Submission" in the subject line.
If your file is too large for an e-mail, please let us know and we will give you access to a server to upload it.
